Dear Guests We hope you have been staying safe and well. We are very excited to be reopening our doors on the 27th July after a prolonged wait. We have had to make a few changes, of course, but we look forward to doing everything we can to ensure you have a comfortable base from which to explore the magical beauty of the Isle of Skye. If you have any questions about a potential stay, then please do not hesitate to contact us or see notice below for more information. We hope to see you soon! Warmest Regards The Royal Hotel Team
We are delighted to announce that we are reopening our doors to guests from 27th July 2020. As ever we shall offer you a warm welcome, now with a few new pertinent changes to ensure your comfort and safety. We are closely following the government guidance and have put in place a flexible cancellation policy to offer you peace of mind should anything change. Below you will find some of these important changes we are taking. OUR PROMISE TO OUR GUESTS The health and safety of our guests, employees, local community and suppliers has and remains our number one priority. The Royal Hotel will adhere to new hospitality government guidelines, as a minimum set of standards being maintained consistently. As we navigate this new path, we will continue to listen to your feedback, and your needs. We have implemented a wide range of measures to keep everyone safe whilst we fully reopen the hotel.
Peace of Mind
WE WANT TO GIVE YOU PEACE OF MIND If you become ill before arriving or on your way to the hotel, we will allow you to cancel at short notice. If you become ill while you are with us, we will assist you to make further arrangements in accordance with the government guidance. WE SHALL WORK AS A TEAM TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE We have carried out a comprehensive risk assessment, prepared new cleaning schedules for each department and trained the staff on our new cleaning and working procedures to mitigate risk as much as possible. You will find sanitising stations throughout the hotel and you will often see us wiping and sanitising surfaces. Rest assured that this is happening behind the scenes and at night-time too.
We have plenty of space
YOUR ROOM IS A SAFE HAVEN In our rooms we will remove soft furnishings such as decorative cushions for the time being. We may have to move your check-in time to 5pm at times in order to complete the cleaning procedures and aerate the rooms but we will make sure you are kept comfortable whilst waiting. During your stay, our housekeepers will only enter your room at your request and so if you need fresh towels or anything else, please do not hesitate to ask for it. OUR RESTAURANT SERVICE It is paramount that we do not compromise on the quality of our food. With regards to breakfast, it will be initially served à la carte but include a broad selection, including the full Scottish. Our buffet will return as soon as it is practical to do so. The menu will also be reduced initially to allow for social distancing measures and we will ask guests to eat in either the Well Plaid Restaurant or MacNab’s Inn.
